Matt joined the firm in 2025 as a Partner in the Litigation Department. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Matt regularly represents clients in a wide variety of matters including, but not limited to, insurance litigation, commercial litigation, employment litigation, construction litigation, appellate litigation, business disputes, and insolvency matters.

Prior to joining HCC, Matt was employed as an associate attorney in Providence where he gained significant gained significant commercial litigation and employment law experience. In addition, Matt previously gained experience as an appellate litigator at one of the nation’s largest veterans disability law firms, where he successfully represented disabled veterans before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Matt received his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. During law school, was an assistant editor on the Roger Williams Law Review and was a member of the honors program. Further, Matt was a Student Attorney with both the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and the Roger Williams Criminal Defense Clinic. Both of those experiences provided Matt with invaluable in-court experience advocating before various Massachusetts and Rhode Island Courts. Matt also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Frances A. McIntyre (ret.) of the Massachusetts Superior Court.
