Meagan Bellamy is an attorney in the Litigation Department at Higgins, Cavanagh & Cooney, LLP. She is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Her practice currently focuses on general and premises liability matters.

Previously, Meagan practiced with a prominent New England law firm. There, her practice was primarily focused on premises liability. Earlier, she was employed by a municipal law firm, serving as an Assistant Solicitor for several Rhode Island towns. She also served as a prosecutor for numerous towns in their local housing and municipal courts.

Meagan is a graduate of Sacred Heart University where she earned her B.A. degree in English with a concentration in Writing. She is also a cum laude graduate of Roger Williams University School of Law.

During college Meagan was an NCAA Division 1 scholarship athlete on the swim team and was named as a Scholar All-America team member. At law school, she was awarded the Robert B. Kent academic scholarship, and maintained superior academic performance to sustain the scholarship for all three years. She was also recognized by the Feinstein Center for her outstanding commitment to pro bono legal service.

Before entering law school, Meagan worked as a teacher. She is currently a member of the Town of Lincoln Planning Board.
