The attorneys in the Construction practice group counsel clients on all phases of the construction process, including contract negotiation, site preparation, project dispute resolution, litigation of personal injury, property damage as well as commercial lawsuits.

This practice group represents diverse construction clients including general contractors, owners and developers as well as subcontractors.

Recently, this group represented a national builder concerning its winning bid for the renovation and construction of a town building. Claims were filed against the town for not selecting the lowest bidder and for violating State and local statutes that govern town bidding procedures on construction projects. The Supreme Court of Rhode Island reversed the lower court's decision which had held that the town violated state law in not awarding the contract to the lowest bidder.
