Lawrence P. McCarthy, III concentrates his practice in advising small to large businesses in a variety of legal matters. Those areas include assisting clients in the sale and acquisition of business assets, including real estate. Mr. McCarthy has also extensive experience in estate planning and estate administration.

Mr. McCarthy also assists the firm’s construction law practice in the drafting of construction related agreements and in the resolution of construction claims and disputes .

Mr. McCarthy is regularly called upon to bring his business and tax law background into assisting the firm’s professional liability practice group. In this regard Mr. McCarthy assists in the handling of the defense of attorney malpractice claims involving of real estate, banking, estate planning and other business related issues.

Mr. McCarthy is a graduate, cum laude, of Boston College. After earning his law degree at Case Western Reserve University he obtained an advanced law degree in Taxation Law from Boston University School of Law. Mr. McCarthy was a member of the Law Review for two years at Case Western Reserve University.

He lives with his family in East Greenwich, Rhode Island where he is involved in many youth and civic associations.
