Vivian was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and graduated from Rhode Island College in 1963 and began her professional career as an elementary school teacher. She received her J.D. from Northeastern University Law School in 1991. Vivian is a partner in the firm's workers' compensation insurance department. She is a member of the Rhode Island and American Bar Associations.
