Ken joined HCC in 1962. He retired from the firm on January 1, 2006. He remains Of Counsel to the firm to periodically assist in selected assignments that draw on his 40 plus years of experience. His practice has been primarily devoted to civil litigation matters related to insurance, torts, product liability, business torts, construction, environmental coverage, and intellectual property disputes.

Ken received his B.A. Degree (with honors) from Brown University in 1958, and he received his LL.B. Degree from the Columbia University School of Law in 1961. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Rhode Island, the United States District Court for Rhode Island, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston. He is a member of the Rhode Island (House of Delegates, 1974-1977; Executive Committee, 1974-1977 ) and American Bar Associations (Sections of Tort and Insurance Law, Litigation, and Environmental Law).

Ken is a member of the Defense Research Institute, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (State Chair, 1965-1966), and a Fellow of the Rhode Island Bar Foundation.
